NHTSA Complaint #11689353 — 2021 RAM PROMASTER

The contact owns a 2021 Ram ProMaster 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V552000 (Back Over Prevention). The contact stated that while in reverse on several occasions, the rear-view camera failed to activate, and the instrument panel was black. The vehicle was taken to the same dealer on several occasions and the security gateway module was replaced. The vehicle was repaired twice however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.
