The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with coolant intrusion in the cylinders through the engine block. The dealer determined that the short block needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided due to the mileage of the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 80,065.
