NHTSA Complaint #11675154 — 2022 CHEVROLET TAHOE

The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle lost power in the middle of the roadway. The contact was unable to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway with the rear wheels seized. The “Service Transmission” warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the front brakes. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 73,000.
