NHTSA Complaint #11685631 — 2022 CHEVROLET TAHOE

The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the engine warning light illuminated. While inspecting the oil level, the contact discovered that the oil level was extremely low. The contact added oil as needed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and five different tests were performed and each test produced varying results. The contact stated that on several tests, the oil level remained at a normal level, but on other tests, the oil level was extremely low. The vehicle was taken to another dealer, Koepp Chevrolet, INC. (13221 U.S. Hwy 87 W, La Vernia, TX 78121); and similar results were received. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 63,800.
