NHTSA Complaint #11674350 — 2022 CHEVROLET TAHOE

The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V274000(Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 30 MPH, the vehicle started losing motive power and shuddered violently. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, where it was diagnosed. The dealer replaced the SN-L Pipe and installed an SN-L injector kit. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed to another unknown dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the cylinder #7 injector and R/R Fuel Rail needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic oil shop, where the contact was informed that metal shavings were found in the oil filter and the oil level was significantly low. The vehicle was repaired, however the failure recurred while driving, and the vehicle experienced excessive oil consumption. The dealer was contacted and advised the contact that the recall part was not yet available and an appointment could not be scheduled. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.
