The contact owns a 2021 Ford F150. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V315000 (BACK OVER PREVENTION) and 25V455000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that while her friend was driving, the rearview camera turned off while the vehicle was in reverse(R). The contact stated that the failure compromised the back-over prevention system. The contact stated that an unknown message about the brakes was displayed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, while her friend was driving 55 MPH, the vehicle vibrated abnormally, and failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact stated that recently, the vehicle accelerated independently and then returned to normal functionality. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired after the most recent failure. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was unknown. VIN tool confirms parts are not available.
