NHTSA Complaint #11670733 — 2021 FORD BRONCO SPORT

The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle jerked abnormally. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a fractured and leaking CV boot. The contact was informed that the CV boot needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle had been at the dealer several times due to the persistent failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The contact was informed that the repair was not covered under recall or special programs. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
