NHTSA Complaint #11664941 — 2020 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 2500

We received a recall on this truck 2/2025 showing that there was a transmission control valve defect that was causing excessive wear on the gears. We took it into Sands Chevrolet and they did a repair under warranty. Within a few weeks, the truck again lost power, would not go over 30 MPH and caused a safety issue as it happened while on the highway. We immediately took the truck back to Sands who informed us of the recall and that the transmission needed to be repaired because of the excessive wear under the recall. Sands Chevrolet told us it would be 2 months before they could repair it. However, there was another local shop that could so we took it there and had it repaired within days. The dealership told us to submit our invoice and credit card statement showing that we paid the $5575 out of pocket that we were told we would be reimbursed for. Now, Chevy is denying that there was even a recall on the vehicle.... but I have the letter from GM showing the recall and the local Sands dealership is the one that told us to go get it fixed.
