The vehicle was driven to the shoulder of the roadway. The contact checked the coolant level, and the coolant lever was low. The coolant reservoir was refilled. The vehicle was driven to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a coolant leak and engine failure. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed that the repair was not covered under warranty. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 59,000.
