NHTSA Complaint #11654800 — 2014 FORD ESCAPE

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Escape. The contact had received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V331000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES); and the vehicle was taken to a local dealer to be repaired. The contact stated that the failure occurred after the recall repair. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the rear driver’s side door failed to open properly. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where the vehicle was inspected; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The contact was informed that the vehicle had already received the one-time free repair under the recall. The vehicle was not repaired a second time. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 185,000.
