NHTSA Complaint #11646801 — 2021 CHEVROLET TAHOE

The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated while making a right turn, the vehicle lost automotive power. No warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the transmission was stuck in park(P). The vehicle was towed to a local independent mechanic and was diagnosed with fuel module failure. The contact was informed that the fuel module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed at the owner’s expense. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. Upon further investigation, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V739000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
