NHTSA Complaint #11643140 — 2017 JEEP CHEROKEE

We experienced a loss of motive power while on the interstate in busy high speed traffic [XXX] . We had to attempt to maneuver the constantly slowing vehicle to the shoulder while being passed by tractor trailer drivers who were driving at full speed. Luckily 2 of them in the right lane were paying attention and swerved aggressively to avoid hitting my family and I. This very easily could have resulting in multiple fatalities. It was extremely terrifying to not be in control of the vehicle. This experience sounds exactly like the issues referenced in the recent safety recall 01C, but the FCA website doesn't show my VIN as being affected. They need to expand the VIN list to cover this vehicle and fix it. My family and I are terrified to drive this thing now, not knowing when this event will happen again. Thank you for your help.
