NHTSA Complaint #11638030 — 2023 HYUNDAI PALISADE

[XXX] at [XXX] (Palisade was in SMART mode). I made a U-Turn and coming out of the turn I stepped in the gas and nothing happened; however, the engine was racing and held steady at 3,000 RPMs. The vehicle did NOT respond after multiple attempts at stepping on the gas pedal or simply stepping off the gas pedal - the engine/transmission was racing loud at 3,000 RPMs for about 7-10 seconds until the vehicle corrected itself. This is obviously a safety issue since I had no ability to accelerate and could have been rear-ended. I went to AutoZone and ran OBD diagnostics and nothing showed up. I then made appt at Dealership with the description above and they recorded the incident as "a hesitation issue", then said it was due to the Auto-Start being on! WHAT!? I was not happy and made them read the description AGAIN and now writing this NHTSA safety issue. I feel like they purposely mis-recorded the issue and tried to send me on my way.
