NHTSA Complaint #11635281 — 2019 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving on a residential street at 15 MPH, the transmission began to shudder and stalled. The power train warning light was illuminated. The contact proceeded to pull over onto the side of the road to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was driven to a local dealer where the vehicle was diagnosed, the contact was advised that a leak in the CDF Drum was responsible for the gears not shifting properly and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 102,000.
