NHTSA Complaint #11627458 — 2016 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked and attempting to open the sunroof, the sunroof made an abnormal popping sound. The contact noticed that the panoramic sunroof panel had become inoperable. The contact stated that the sunroof panel and the sunroof rails had fractured. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The manufacturer confirmed that the VIN was not under recall and referred the contact to the NHSTA Hotline for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 85,000.
