NHTSA Complaint #11626371 — 2022 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH in the rain, the windshield wipers moved up an inch and stopped operating. The contact stated that upon deactivating and reactivating the windshield wipers, the failure recurred. The contact stated that the failure was persistent. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the windshield wiper motors had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V842000 (Visibility). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer advised the contact to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 39,000.
