NHTSA Complaint #11611340 — 2015 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that there was oil underneath the front end of the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle had been taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that there was oil leaking from the seal on the oil pan. The contact was informed that the oil pan needed to be replaced and the front seal needed to be resealed. The contact related the failure to TSB: 24-2098, NHTSA ID Number: 10252672 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and it was confirmed that the VIN was not included in the TSB. The manufacturer had referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 100,000.
