The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The powertrain symbol was displayed, with a message to check the Owner’s Manual. In addition, the contact stated that the failure had occurred while driving from a stoplight. The transmission remained in third gear. The vehicle was turned off, and the powertrain was reset. The failure was a persistent failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 109,320.
