NHTSA Complaint #11602959 — 2018 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, there was a knocking sound coming from the engine compartment. The contact stated that the vehicle had stalled several times. The contact believed that the vehicle was leaking oil; however, when the coolant reservoir was inspected, the coolant fluid was low, but no visible leaks were found. The contact stated that the vehicle was experiencing excessive oil consumption. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer; however, it has not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 125,000.
