Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with transmission failure and the contact was advised to take the vehicle to a dealer. The dealer confirmed the transmission failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
