NHTSA Complaint #11586203 — 2021 FORD ECOSPORT

The contact owns a 2021 Ford EcoSport. The contact stated that while driving at unknown speeds, the vehicle began to decelerate, with the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the Service Engine Soon, Power Train Malfunction, Reduced Engine Power warning lights were illuminated, and 4WD fault message was displayed on the APP. The failure recurred consistently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the vacuum pump was replaced. The contact stated that the APP stated that the oil was at 85% and had been changed approximately three weeks prior to the failure. The contact was concerned that there was going to be a failure with the vehicle. The contact was notified of the NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V905000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
