Consumer Description

The contact's girlfriend owns a 2014 Ford Escape. The contact stated while driving at approximately 10 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The transmission warning light illuminated later. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.
