NHTSA Complaint #11553162 — 2015 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated while driving approximately 55 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The active fuel management had become inoperable. The check engine warning light was flashing. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the lifter needed to be replaced in the engine. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted and offered to assist with the parts. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000.
