The contact owns a 2014 Toyota Camry. The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the vehicle started to shake abnormally. The contact stated that he depressed the brake pedal and slowed down. The contact stated that when he depressed the accelerator pedal the shaking reoccurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic. The vehicle was diagnosed with a failed torque converter. The contact was informed that the torque converter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 149,000.
