Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2017 Kia Sportage. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle was consuming an excessive amount of engine oil. The contact stated that 5-quarts of oil were added every three months. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle had been diagnosed by an independent mechanic who determined that cylinders #2, #3, and #4 were misfiring. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 82,365.
