Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, the vehicle lost electric power to the instrument panel and the speedometer went to zero. The odometer showed the dash marks. The wrench warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the molded lead frame needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and determined that the vehicle was not under warranty. The contact was transferred to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.
