Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the check engine warning light was flashing off and on with a knocking sound coming from the engine. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who installed a knock sensor to the engine, but the failure persisted. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 98,000.
