NHTSA Complaint #11543879 — 2020 FORD F-250

The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, the vehicle began to shake violently. The contact was able to safely pull to the shoulder of the roadway. After restarting the vehicle, it returned to normal functionality but has since become a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined the tie rods and ball joints were loose. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to Customer Satisfaction Program 20N04, but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 51,000.
