The contact owns a 2014 Honda Accord. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V769000 (Power Train) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 MPH, the contact heard and abnormal sound underneath the vehicle. The vehicle then lost motive power. The contact stated that the shift lever was not responding. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic. The contact stated that the dealer was unable to service the vehicle for more than five days. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
