The contact stated that after the service visit at the dealer, the vehicle was driven to the residence and parked in a closed garage. The contact stated that on July 29, 2023, he entered the garage and discovered that the vehicle had independently started, and the garage was filled with fumes, and the gear shifter was locked in gear and was inoperable. The contact stated that he contacted the dealer and made them aware of the failure; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 57,290.
