Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Focus. The contact stated that the vehicle was shaking and made an abnormal sound after refueling. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the canister purge valve needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but confirmed that there was no recall associated with the VIN. The contact was advised to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 72,700.
