NHTSA Complaint #11529146 — 2014 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated that on several occasions, the vehicle would not immediately start. Additionally, while driving at undisclosed speeds, the check engine warning light remained illuminated. The contact replaced the cam sensors and fuses, but the failure persisted. The contact later discovered that the fuel pump relay had melted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The manufacturer informed the contact that a fuse box relocation kit was needed to resolve the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was concerned that the manufacturer was aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 230,000.
