Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2019 Ford Escape. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the vehicle started to jerk with a delay while shifting gear. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that after accelerating above 30 MPH, the vehicle operated properly and drove as designed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and agreed to cover a portion of the cost for the repair. The failure mileage was 48,000.
