NHTSA Complaint #11504188 — 2014 FORD ESCAPE

Extremely dangerous: car is stalling while driving. Typically, this issue occurs when starting my vehicle and pulling out into the road. Majority of the time this has occurred in smaller/neighborhood streets without much traffic. However, there have been a few times this has occurred when pulling out into traffic, or worse: trying to make a left and being stuck in on-coming traffic. This issue has been on-going for over a year (date of the first occurrence reported below), but is very intermittently occurring. I have taken my vehicle into a mechanic and Ford certified dealership, and no codes show up. I’ve left my car with the dealership to attempt to recreate the issue, and they’ve been unable to. This has occurred at least 50 times by now. I’ve found plenty of forums of reports of the same issue occurring. There has never been a recall for this issue, and Ford should be held accountable. This is a very dangerous hazard!
