NHTSA Complaint #11492169 — 2014 FORD ESCAPE

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Escape. The contact received notification NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V4130000 (Power Train) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated while driving 65MPH, there was a sound coming near the front driver’s and passenger side wheels intermittently. Additionally, the contact stated that she depressed the accelerator pedal, but the vehicle failed to respond. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Neither dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.
