NHTSA Complaint #11490673 — 2014 FORD FOCUS

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle was jerking. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission clutch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was then taken to a local dealer who confirmed there was no associated recall under the VIN. The dealer informed the contact that the parts were on back order. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was unknown.
