NHTSA Complaint #11489167 — 2014 FORD ESCAPE

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Escape. The contact stated that she received recall notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V413000 (Power Train) and the vehicle was taken to a local dealer who completed the recall repair. However, the contact stated after the vehicle was returned to her, the vehicle was stalling while driving. There were no warning lights illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated she had parked the vehicle at her residence and upon starting the vehicle, the vehicle started but was inoperable. The dealer was notified of the failure and advised the contact to tow the vehicle to their location. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle remained at the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was unknown.
