The contact owns a 2015 Ford Edge. The contact stated that after refueling, the vehicle hesitated to start and stalled. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who retrieved codes P456 and P1540. The mechanic stated that the failure was caused by the purge valve assembly. The contact called the local dealer but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 53,000.
