NHTSA Complaint #11470603 — 2014 FORD ESCAPE

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Escape. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle and shifting to the reverse, the vehicle failed to move backward. After restarting the vehicle, the failure was still present. The shifter was then shifted to the drive however, the vehicle failed to move forward. The local dealer was contacted and informed that the vehicle was included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V413000 (Power Train) however, the part needed to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 104,000.
