The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 MPH, the power steering warning light illuminated. The contact stated that while attempting to steer the vehicle to make a turn, the vehicle lost power steering functionality. The contact stated that she pulled off the road to restart her vehicle however, the steering wheel was difficult to turn. The contact stated that extra effort was needed to steer the vehicle. The vehicle was driven back to the residence and remained unrepaired. The local dealer was contacted and informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 86,000.
