NHTSA Complaint #11446662 — 2013 HYUNDAI SONATA

The contact owns a 2013 Hyundai Sonata. The contact stated that while driving at 30 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The dealer informed the contact to tow the vehicle to a Hyundai dealer. The vehicle was towed to Ettleson Hyundai (5631 South La Grange Road, Countryside, IL 60525). The dealer informed the contact that they would not be able to diagnose the vehicle since they were booked until the end of February. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact of Service Campaign Number: 953 (ECM & Cluster Update - Engine Monitoring Logic Product Improvement) associated with the VIN. The failure mileage was approximately 97,000.
