Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, there was a whining noise coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V461000 (Power Train). The approximate failure mileage was 158,000.
