NHTSA Complaint #11417601 — 2007 FORD FUSION

The contact owns a 2007 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving 20 MPH, the brake pedal required extended travel time for the vehicle to come to a complete stop. The contact stated no warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the DOT fluid and reservoir cap needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired and however, failure persisted. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V904000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the failure but provided no further assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 50,746.
