Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE STARTING UP THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED SMOKE COMING THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT SHORTLY AFTERWARDS FIRE WAS COMING OUT OF FRONT HOOD. THE FIRE MARSHALS WERE CALLED, THE FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED AND A REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO LOCAL POLICE TOW LOT WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH BEING DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
