Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, IT WENT TO THE FLOORBOARD CAUSING DISTANCE TO BE EXTENDED. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT REAR ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT DID NOT SUSTAIN INJURIES NEITHER THE OTHER DRIVER. NO POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACTS RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT CALLED PREMIER FORD OF BAY RIDGE, 612 86TH ST, BROOKLYN, NY 11228, AND INFORMED THEM OF THE FAILURE. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT FORD HAD NOT YET PROVIDED A SOLUTION FOR THE FIX. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER:19V904000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000. (RELATED RECALL INCIDENT) TS
