Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 HYUNDAI SONATA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TURNING AT LOW SPEEDS, THERE WAS A BURNING ODOR AND SMOKE WAS PRESENT IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STOPPED AND OPENED THE HOOD WHERE THERE WERE FLAMES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES. THE LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT WAS ALSO AT THE SCENE. THE VEHICLE WAS SEVERELY BURNED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A POLICE IMPOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 179,000. *AS
