Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO TURN. THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE AND LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE POWER STEERING FAILURE WARNING MESSAGE WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT CALLED LOCAL DEALER (SMITH FORD LOCATED AT 908 E OAK ST, CONWAY, AR 72032) AND A TECHNICIAN WAS SENT TO THE RESIDENCE TO PERFORM A DIAGNOSTIC TEST ON THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE RACK AND PINION AND SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
