Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 HYUNDAI SONATA. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO STALL AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR FLASHED. THE CONTACT PULLED INTO A GAS STATION AND, UPON DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE VEHICLE RUMBLED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A FAULTY ENGINE KNOCK SENSOR. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH SOUTHTOWNE HYUNDAI (7665 GA-85, RIVERDALE, GA 30274) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,000.
