Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FOCUS. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH, THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR OPENED. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TIED THE DOOR CLOSED WITH A CORD. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO MIKE FITZPATRICK FORD (238 BULLSBORO DR, NEWNAN, GA 30263) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE LATCH ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE'S DOOR LATCHES WERE REPAIRED PREVIOUSLY ON AUGUST 3, 2015 AND AUGUST 6, 2017. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED FOR THE RECENT FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000.
