Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD FLEX. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS THE STEERING WHEEL WAS HARD AND DIFFICULT TO TURN. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE STEERING COLUMN NEEDED TO BE LUBED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 113,000.
